The Blueprint
Born in the heart of Motor City in 1946, Detroit-Style Pizza has a fascinating industrial heritage. What began in a humble family pizzeria using repurposed automotive parts - square blue steel pans that once held nuts and bolts - evolved into an iconic pizza style known for its distinctive edge-to-edge toppings and irresistible caramelized cheese crust. At Gearhead Pizza, we honor that tradition by building our pies in those authentic pans to give you that perfect, engine-revving crunch.
